The Desert Eagle is a large-framed gas-operated semi-automatic pistol created by Magnum Research in the U.S. and also IMI in Israel; the handgun is made mainly in Israel by IMI. Manufacturing was relocated to Saco Defense in the state of Maine from 96 to Two thousand which carried the XIX designation, but shifted to Israel when Saco was purchased by General Dynamics. The Desert Eagle has been displayed in about Five hundred movies and TV films, considerably raising its popularity.
