What is the shipping time frame on an order?
Our standard shipping time on concealment holsters and accessories is 4-8 weeks. Once an order is received, we will check our inventory to see if the item(s) are in stock. If the items are in stock, the order will ship the following day. If the item(s) have t be made up, we will send you an email with the current estimated shipping time for your order.
If I choose expedited shipping (next day/2nd day) will my order be shipped the same day?
If the item is in stock, and the order is received before 12:00 P.M. (CST), the order will be shipped the same day, the following day for orders received after 12:00 P.M. If the item is not in stock, you will receive an email with the current shipping time frame and you can decide at that point if you would still like the order shipped 2nd day or overnight when ready.
How much is 2nd Day and Next Day air shipping?
Depending on the package weight and destination address, express shipping usually runs between $25-60.
Why does it take so long to ship an order?
When you take into account that we manufacture about 30 different style holsters, in 3 different colors and combine that with the many different handguns in the market today, it is not feasible to keep an inventory on hand. Therefore, pretty much all orders are made up as the orders are received.
It does not actually take 4-6 weeks to create a holster, however, all orders are made up in the order they are received. Some days there may only be 10-15 orders ahead of yours, but on other days, there may be up to 50 holsters ahead of yours on the factory list.
NOTE: We do keep an in-stock inventory for the most popular handguns requested such as the 1911s, a handful of the Glock models (17, 19), and the P2000, but almost everything else is made up as the orders are received.
How will I know when my order will be shipped?
If you place your order online, you will receive an automated response which shows the current shipping times for that time of year. Although the automated email states delivery is 4-8 weeks, once the order is printed and processed, one of our clerks will send you a second email with a better time frame.
If you place the order by phone, the sales rep that takes your order will let you know the current shipping time for the item(s) you are ordering.
What if I need the item by a particular date? For example a birthday…will I receive the item in time?
If the item you are ordering is for a gift (ex: birthday, anniversary, Christmas), we will do our best to get the item to you in time. Depending on the item ordered and the time frame given, we may need to upgrade the shipping to 2nd Day or Next Day Air, but we will certainly do our best to get the item to you in time.
What kind of leather is used to make the holsters?
All of our products are created using only the finest American leather. The holsters are constructed of 8 ounce leather, the belts are made of 9 ounce leather and the 4 ounce suede is used in the lined versions.
Can I upgrade a suede lined holster?
Yes, all of our holsters can be upgraded to smooth leather lined version. A $25 custom work fee is added to the price and the item will be considered a FINAL sale.
Do you make left handed holsters?
Yes! All of our rigs are available I left handed configurations at no extra charge.
How do I determine what belt size to order?
We ask that you submit two separate measurement when placing your order.
First, we will need to know your jean/pant size. Second, we will need you to take an *actual measurement at the point which you will be wearing the rig.
Do you make belt in larger sizes?
Yes, we will make belts up to size 60”. A $25 fee is added to the price of the belt for belts over 46”.
Can I get a Kirkpatrick holster with a few modifications?
Yes, we can make custom changes to most of our holsters. However, the changes that can be made vary from holster to holster. For a holster with custom changes, please email Rachel at support@kirkpatrickleather.com. Once Rachel receives your request, she will check with Mike and/or Joe Kirkpatrick to see if the changes can be made and get back to you with the additional fees and shipping time frame.
PLEASE NOTE that rigs with custom changes are not eligible for a refund or for exchange.

What is your exchange policy?
The Kirkpatrick Family backs their products 100%. If upon receiving your Kirkpatrick Leather item(s), it is not what you though it would be, simply place the item back in the box and ship it back to Kirkpatrick Leather along with a short note requesting a refund. Once the unused returned item is received a refund will be issued (please note that shipping fees are non-refundable). Returns must be received within 20 of receipt.
If you paid with a credit card, a credit will be issued in 1-2 days. If you paid with a check or money order a company check will be mailed to you in 3-5 days.

What happens if I order the wrong size belt?
No problem! No problem, simply send the belt back to Kirkpatrick Leather along with a short note with instructions as to how much larger or smaller the belt needs to be along with $12 for the return shipping fees and a new belt will be made up for you.

Can I return custom items?
Although we have a pretty liberal return policy, custom items WILL NOT be accepted for an exchange, refund or credit.
